Old Montana Prison Pt 1
Deer Lodge, Montana, is a small, rural community founded in the early 1860s before miners flooded the area during the gold rushes. In 1870, the federal government commissioned a territorial penitentiary there. This facility would be used as a prison until 1979.
Come take a journey back in time with us and learn about this hulking giant that sits in a tiny town in the middle of Montana. As is becoming custom, I am joined by my co-host and father, Ric Burton.
